Vieve is the owner of La Doll-ce Vita doll and Teddy bear studio. She comes to the art of dollmaking by way of a career in dance and success as the author of romantic fiction. Although not directly related to dollmaking, such a background fosters the imagination, which in turn is reflected in the quality of her creations.

For those of you who love to know where a doll or bear you buy originates, the La Doll-ce Vita studio-workshop is located on an unspoiled rural property, whimsically named Toadhall and cunningly concealed amid the woodland and marshes of Manitoba's Interlake region. For a geography fanatic, this places it almost in the dead center of North America!

Vieve loves nature, and it is not unusual to glance out of the window and see wildlife flitting through the trees. And, if one is particularly patient, it's possible to catch a glimpse of a black bear and her cubs. What other inspiration is needed?

Vieve shares this idyllic retreat with her husband Michael, a writer, artist and, on occasion, a dollmaker himself.
