The dolls' bodies are Vieve's exclusive design. Each sculpt has its own custom-made body crafted from the softest sable-suede in a shade matching the head and limbs. Premium grade polyfil is used to stuff the body, which is weighted with resin and glass pellets. NO sand is ever used nor are magnets used for pacifiers or bows.
Vieve uses artist's quality, permanent, non-toxic polymer and resin paints in the most delicate of transparent pigments. This gives the vinyl the elusive and subtle appearance of living skin. The baby's realistic hair is either genuine human hair or the finest mohair, micro-rooted to look natural. The hair roots are then sealed on the inside of the head with high-grade silicone, a non-toxic waterproof polymer which gives the best adherence to the vinyl.
The vinyl is not heated in the painting process and retains its original softness, ensuring a lifelike quality in the finished baby doll.
Vieve designs and makes many of the outfits the babies are wearing. These outfits are unique and will not be reproduced.
